A Little Bit About Premier Acting. Based in Glasgow city centre, Premier Acting is Scotland's premier drama training and management company for children, teenagers and adults who are interested in pursuing a career within Drama, Acting and the Performing Arts.

We offer Drama Classes and Acting Tuition to young people and adults, as well as offering representation and management to Young Performers, Background Artists, and Professional Actors.

Background Artists. Premier Acting represents background artists (sometimes called extras) of all shapes, sizes and ages.

No experience is require to become a background artist. The main requirements are:

Patience

Enthusiasm

Transport (although not required for all jobs)

Professional Actors. Here at Premier Acting, we accept submissions for professional acting representation by post or by email.

Glasgow's premier training platform for young people interested in learning to Act.

Drama Classes: 4 - 7 Years. This class is an introductory class allowing younger children the opportunity to explore the world of drama and the performing arts through the use of their imagination, voice and physicallity.

To achieve this our tutors utilise various teaching methods aimed at younger age groups which will introduce the children to drama, storytelling, music, creative movement, as well as working with props and costumes.

The primary aim of this class is to develop confidence, communication and social skills, stimulate the imagination, and develop physical awareness through drama.

Acting Technique Classes: 8 - 10 Years. "Acting Technique: 8 - 10 Years" is an introduction class allowing young performers the opportunity to be introduced to the basic techniques used in acting and drama.

To achieve this our tutors will teach students basic performance concepts by working through improvisation, characterisation, movement, voice and working with text.

The primary aim of this class is to introduce students to basic performance concepts involved in acting for both stage and screen as well as develop confidence, communication and social skills, stimulate the imagination, and develop physical awareness.

Acting Technique Classes: 11 - 13 Years. "Acting Technique: 11 - 13 Years" allows young performers the opportunity to be introduced to the basic techniques and methods used in acting and performance.

To achieve this our tutors will introduce the students to basic performance concepts such as improvisation and scripts, character analysis, physical expression, vocal flexibility, stage direction, emotion, and elementary acting styles.

The primary aim of this class is to introduce students to the concepts involved in acting for stage and screen, develop confidence, communication and social skills, stimulate the imagination, and develop physical awareness.

Acting Technique: Class of Development - 11 - 13 Years. "Acting Technique: Class of Development - 11 - 13 Years"

To achieve this our tutors will introduce the students to basic performance concepts such as improvisation and scripts, character analysis, physical expression, vocal flexibility, stage direction, emotion, and elementary acting styles.

The primary aim of this class is to introduce the performers to the key concepts involved in acting for stage and screen.

Acting Technique Classes: Advanced Class of Development - 14 - 17 Years. "Acting Technique: Advanced Class of Development - 14 - 17 Years"

To achieve this our tutors will introduce the students to and further develop acting and performance concepts by working through improvisation and scripts, character analysis, movement and physical expression, vocal flexibility, stage direction, sense and emotional memory, as well as key acting styles.

Adult Acting Classes. Our Acting Technique Classes for adults are aimed at those who have an active interest in acting or drama, but who haven't had any formal drama training.

These classes are ideal for beginners, or for those who wish achieve a level sufficient enough to puruse further education.

These classes will introduce participants to the key concepts involved in acting and performance including voice, movement, improvisation, characterisation, acting styles as well as working with text.

Our Adult Acting Classes are offered on a Pay-As-You-Go basis, costing £10.00 per evening of attendance.
